IOP | The Health of Photonics

Coinciding with UNESCO’s inaugural International Day of Light, researchers and business innovators are coming together to shine a light on how photonics is solving industry challenges at an Institute of Physics (IOP) event in London on 16th May 2018.

The event will have sector experts that will be sharing insights on how they apply light based technologies to enhance business performance and global competitiveness. There will also be a question-time style panel.

pureLiFi will be demonstrating its technology as well as discussing how LiFi will change the way we communicate wirelessly. As well as pureLiFi various other industry leaders will attend such as Airbus Defence and Space, Coherent, Fraunhofer UK, Leonardo, Oxford Photovoltaics, PepsiCo and PhotonStar LED which have all contributed case studies foreseeing the future impact of photonics in their sector for an IOP report, Health of Photonics, which will be launched at the event. A number of those who contributed to the report will share their experiences of how photonics is vital for solving industry challenges and supporting the UK economy.
