Wipro Lighting show off LiFi for the Deputy High Commissioner
pureLiFi had the pleasure of joining our partners Wipro Lighting in Bangalore to showcase LiFi and celebrate the growing and robust relationship between India and Great Britain.
The event was hosted by British Deputy High Commissioner, Bengaluru Dominic McAllister and Nelly McAllister. The event presented a live stream of the Royal Wedding and celebrated 70 years of the British Council in India. The celebration was attended by business and technology leaders not only of Bangalore but of wider India. Wipro LIghting demonstrated their most innovative technologies in Lighting including their inSync user-centric lighting technology and revolutionary connectivity of LiFi powered by pureLiFi.
Each year the world utilises 60% more wireless data than the previous one, and the number of connected devices such as mobile phones and smart devices is growing exponentially, likely to be in excess of 50 billion by 2020. If internet users are going to continue to live in the wireless cloud with wearables, virtual reality and in a fully connected world, we need new wireless technology such as LiFi to realise this future.
Wipro Lighting is part of Wipro Enterprise (P) Limited and is a leading player in Lighting in India. In 2017 pureLiFi announced a partnership with Wipro Lighting to kick-start efforts for driving adoption in and awareness of LiFi in Asia. The ongoing collaboration Wipro Lighting is driving interest across Asia in LiFi and all its benefits in bandwidth, security and interference management.
