pureLiFi at the Global LiFi Congress

The Global LiFi Congress is an international event where players involved in the LiFi technology meet. These individuals are companies, researchers, scientific committee, start – ups, world leaders in LiFi research and large manufacturers.

With the objective of providing an overview of LiFi from both the academic and industrial perspectives, the LiFi Congress encompasses a series of events with academic conferences, round tables, exhibitions and networking opportunities. The topics covered will range from LiFi’s challenges and its future potential to innovation and applications of LiFi technologies. You will find the answers to questions such as “How LiFi is able to enhance my innovation strategy?” or “How can LiFi give me a competitive edge?”. At this year’s Global LiFi Congress, pureLiFi’s co-founder and CSO  Professor Harald Haas and VP of Standardisation and Business Development, Nikola Serafimovski, will share their updates on both LiFi standardisation and the vision for LiFi as a pervasive technology. The full schedule of the event is available here.

Harald Haas, widely known as the “Father of LiFi”, was the first to introduce LiFi to the world at a Global Ted Talk in 2011. Professor Haas is also the Chair of Mobile Communications at the University of Edinburgh. As inventor of LiFi Harald Haas will provide the audience with an update on LiFi technology and  present his vision of the future of LiFi.

Nikola Serafimovski works with major companies with the aim of establishing  a LiFi ecosystem.He obtained a BSc and MSc graduate of the Jacobs University Bremen, Germany and earned his PhD from the University of Edinburgh, in digital communications and signal processing. Currently, he is the VP for Standardization and Business Development at pureLiFi, as well as the Chair of the Global LiFi Standard 802.11bb. At LiFi Congress, Nikola will take part ina round table to discuss developments on LiFi standardization.
